Scope & Content A letter from the Property Secretary, William Barker, National Headquarters to Brigadier Ferris, Legal Department regarding property tax exemption status of Bristol, Tennessee property, December 19, 1912. Of particular interest is the letterhead. On the left side, in red print, is a advertisement for an upcoming evangelistic campaign, reading: "The Salvation Seige, January 1st to February 5th 1913, Siege Watchword, Charge" This advertisement also employs a swastika symbol, which prior to its incorporation by the Nazi government of Germany served as a universal symbol of prosperity and good fortune.
